CHOIR
Practice on Mondays at 6:00 pm in Choir Room
Choir is defined as a “musical ensemble of singers” but church choir is SO much more!
We are an ensemble of believers who happen to love music and singing. The subject of our musical content is always Christian in nature but the styles that we use to express that can be widely varying. We are trying hard at CBC not to fit in any one mold or genre of music but instead to keep finding that song that lifts us and the congregation to a place of worship.
I have always contended that choir is a picture of the Church set to music. We, like the Church, have all ages, all tastes with many differences in talent levels and gifts. Each of us alone would be just that - alone. No harmony, no blending and little volume with only what an individual can bring. But together we are mighty! The voices blend - the differences become texture - the individual becomes part of something so much more. So just as we are in Church - we are in choir. Better together, stronger together and worshipping together.
You are welcome to join use to practice. All that is required is that aforementioned love of music and singing that comes from a believers heart.

HEARTS ABLAZE - PRAISE BAND
Practice on Mondays at 7:00 pm in Sanctuary
Hearts Ablaze started playing together in the Spring of 2015. What started as two people leading the congregation in worship, has brought opportunity for many more musicians and vocalists to use their talents to worship Jesus. Hearts Ablaze enjoys leading the congregation in the newer worship songs being released, while also incorporating the contemporary songs and traditional hymns of years past. If you have a gift of voice or instrument, join the praise band at practice, Monday nights!

MEDIA TEAM
The media team is in charge of all of the media work for Sunday service. The media team is the unseen group that ensures the sound board levels are correct, the Proclaim slides change seamlessly, and the sermon is recorded for future viewers. If you are gifted in these areas, and would like to volunteer on Sunday mornings, your help would be greatly appreciated!

Conowingo Closet
The Conowingo Closet offers clothes and hygiene items for men, women, and children in need. We are always accepting gently used clothing, as well as new hygiene products and underwear.
The purpose of this ministry is so Conowingo Baptist Church can provide for families in need within Cecil County more than we already do. We believe that being able to not only provide food and financial assistance to those in need, but that access to the closet will open up new doors and outreach opportunities!
Please place all donations in the Closet area and contact Eden Barton prior. If possible please wash all donations prior to bagging and place all donations in a black trash bag. Thank you all for your help and we look forward to making this a huge ministry within the community!
